ISO規格のタンクコンテナは、道路、鉄道、海上輸送を組み合わせた複合輸送に適しており、液体化学製品の輸送に使用されます。タンクに付されたひし形のマーキングと「腐食性」の文字は、輸送される媒体が硫酸、塩酸などの腐食性化学物質であることを明確に示しています。タンク本体はステンレス鋼製、または耐腐食性材料で内張りされており、化学腐食に耐えるように設計されています。 外枠は高強度鋼製で、識別と吊り上げを容易にするため鮮やかなオレンジ色に塗装されています。緊急遮断弁、安全弁、液面計、帯電防止装置などの主要な安全部品を備え、国際危険物輸送規則（IMDGおよびADRなど）の要件を満たしています。タンク中央部のオレンジ色の反射テープは、輸送中の視認性と安全性を向上させます。
